Extra Stiffy Build
I picked this up about a month ago from Copperhead Aviation and I am just now getting the time to put it together. It looks like it will go together fast. All of the control surfaces are pre-hinged with the Skin that they put on the foam to make it durable. They supply a great hardware kit also. I picked up a Hacker A20/20L, a phoenix 25 speed controller and 4 Hitec HS-65 HB servo's for it. I will be running a Thunder Power 1320 LiPoly on it. Here are a few pictures of the parts before I get started. From the looks of these parts this thing should fall right together. I am looking forward to diving in...

I don't think they allow those kinds of video's on RCU....[sm=red_smile.gif] Just kidding of course there will be plenty of video of me and my buds wringing this thing out. I want to see if it lives up to it reputation of being tough as nails and flying like a 47 size glow profile... After I get it trimmed out I am planning to fly it like I stole it..... I had the LHS order me in a stock of spare props.

Hey Tim... I can tell you have put a lot of time in the re-design of this plane. This thing is almost falling together by its self. I have been taking plenty of pictures to post but I have not had time load them into the computer. I will try and find some time at work tomorrow. It seems like I can find a few spare minutes there that I can't find at home....

RE: Extra Stiffy Build
Its about time I gave this build thread some much needed attention. I had to take off from flying for a while to do some home remodeling. I have finally found some free time to get this plane in the air. I went out a month ago to do my maiden flight at a club meeting and found out very quick that I had a bad receiver and it glitched straight down in to the paved runway at full throttle. The good news it that this airplane is as durable as they say it is. It was unharmed from the crash but the bad news is that my brand new Hacker motor did not do as well. I managed to mess up the prop shaft pretty good.
We held a Pro Bro event at the field this weekend and I put a new receiver in it and fixed the motor and had an awesome time with it. I know this has been said about a lot of foamies before but this airplane fly's more like a glow profile than it does a foamie. I dorked it in a few times and bent the landing gear up but it bends back to shape pretty easy. I have some video footage from this weekend and as soon as I get a minute I will post it.
