I was wondering about the tail wheel as well. I know a guy at the field with a Mojo 40 and he just uses a 2-56 control rod sticking out the bottom of the rudder and bent at the end. It works perfect, steers the airplane around and saves on the weight with no wheel or heavy wheel collor.

A 40 or 60 size Dubro wheel works great. You can just leave it castering as the rudder is large enough to turn the plane around without a problem. Also, solder washers onto the tail wheel wire to hold the wheel in place instead of wheel collars and you'll save a little weight.

I just bought the kit, it's a really easy build and a lot of fun. It only took me a couple of hours a day for about a week, to build and finish the whole thing.

I started to assemble mine today. I got the motor mount epoxied to the CF tube and from what I can tell, it slides through the front of the wing. The fit is VERY tight. I dont want to force it. Any suggestions?

You can sand a little off the wing pocket for clearance... You might also check to see if all the epoxy that's ozed out has been removed...

Paul - It's one of the ARF's. I noticed one of the other Bro's plane that I liked and was lucky to be able to send him the ARF and he stripped it and re-covered it and did some air brush highlights.

He did an awesome job,,

What's the reason for separating the top and bottom fuse halves?

What's the reason for separating the top and bottom fuse halves?
There is a fiberglass tube between the two halves that extends from the motor mount to the rudder post. It's the way it's built.

Is the blue all airbrushed on? What kind of paint do you use? How do you prep the surface of the covering?
Did you make your own pattern or is there somewhere that i can get the pattern, I am asking because I'm getting ready to cover a OMP Hybrid Edge and this is the way i've been wanting to cover my plane except with Yellow and red scheme.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Sorry I wasn't clear in my question. In the pictures above the bottom half of the fuse isn't there. The top and bottom halves of the mojo fuse are normally joined at the rudder and glued to the wing in one piece. Why has the fuse been cut into two parts and is now being glued to the wing/motor mount separately? Is there any advantage / disadvatage to assembling the plane in this manner?

I don't think it's been cut. It just hasn't been put together with the rudder post yet.

Heres a few more pics of the almost completed airframe. Should finish that part up tomorrow.

Graig - To answer some of your questions. The covering is Ultracoat in pearl white and pearl purple. Like I mentioned before, another BRO covered it and did the airbrushing, so I cant answer some of your questions,,, Sorry.

Paul - I wanted to comment on the engineering, etc of this plane: Of all the planes I have put together (All ARF's), this is the best engineered, thought out, that I have assembled to date. The CF tube concept from motor mount to Rudder is a fantastic design for strength and weight. It was VERY easy to put together. I have maybe 2 to 2 1/2 hours assembly time to get it to the point in the attached pics.
