Curious what you all would recommend, I have a few .40's laying around, want something cheap, ARF is mandatory, but must fly good!

Whatcha recommend?

Any .40 will "fly" a 40 size profile. You'll need a strong .46 to 3d a 40 size profile with a margin of safety. That said, one of the OMP Edge v3s would be perfect as would the new Mojo ARF that is due out this month.

Hard to follow that logic.

If you are a new profile 3D pilot then I'd recommend the Edge which due maybe late this week or early next week. Designed to be a 3D trainer and a very tough bird. Fiberglass tube and sheeted fuse plus a two-piece wing. You can preorder on the OMP webpage to lock one in.

Guess I should have specified myself, not new, Ive had a couple profiles before, have not had one for some time now, (probro#20 here) but I have been flying 3D for years on planes from 50cc to 150cc. What Im looking for is something I can 3D that I dont have to take my trailer to fly. and Im trying to find one that will perform with what I have for engines on hand...

260 from tmpro is great for precision and 3D. Great to go out and practice IMAC or pattern stuff when you dont feel like dragging out a bigger airplane. Any of the profiles out now are solid 3D wise.

John, if you just want a 3D ship, the OMP Edge or Swany's Mojo kick it big time. If you want to mix in IMAC and such, look at the Fusion 40 ARF.

Swany Mojo or OMP Edge.

Both ARFs, likely available by EOM.

End Of Month...

I think the Edge 540s are on US soil, and on their way to OH. I can't swear that's their status, but I think I'm right. The Mojo shouldn't be too far behind.

I can testify that the OMP edge is a tuff bird. I am very impressed with the plane. Been flying it for about two mounths now and have come a long way on the 3d stuff, hovering, high alpha stuff. Anyway I thought I was going to show off a little and take off and go right into a knife edge, DUMB me went the wrong way with the rudder and by the time I recovered it went in to full throttle cartwheel. the plane hit hard, and only had miner damage. Slight dammage to motor mount area, fixed with epoxy, crack in balsa sheeting of the fuse just behind the wing, fixed with CA, and pulled out the end rib of one wing fixed with CA and some balsa.

I have the MOJO 40 kit also but it isn't done yet. Soon! It also looks like it is going to be a great bird

Get one or the other I'm sure you won't be disapointed
