O.S. 91FX or Saito's Fa 100 Mojo 60
Going to build a mojo 60.Do I go with the Satio 100.Or the o.s 91 .Does anyone have one with a o.s 91.Just wondering how it performs in a hover?.I would like to get a satio 100. But I just can't trust them. All I own is o.s 4 strokes [to heavy]and 2 strokes.I find them the most reliable engines out there easy to start and no dead sticks.I have not had good luck with a satio fa 72 I owned. It would just dead stick all the time and I could not trust it so I finally sold it. What kind of luck have other guys had with a satio?

The saito 100 is THE engine of choice for that plane. If you were having dead stick problems then there was something wrong with the setup or tuning. Once tuned, every saito I have is DEAD nuts reliable.

Saito is not dependable, stick with O.S...I have 2 O.S. 91 FS, excellent engines, 1 O.S. 120 AX, excellent engine, 1 Saito 100...POS, keeps breaking, in a box of parts, Horizon will not honor the warranty...

RE: O.S. 91FX or Saito's Fa 100 Mojo 60
I have the mojo 60 with Saito 90 and 15X6 APC. It is simply super. It hovers at half stick. I put the Saito 100 on the OMP Ultimate bipe, again super!!! I will put the Saito 125 on the Mojo 65......
All my Saitos are super perfect engines.......... Light, powerful and too regular....

Again, Chuck, I think you are in the minority on this one. It sucks you have had a bad experience with the Saito and Horizon but I have had nothing but good luck with both. I believe that most will agree with me. I'll still take that broken 100 off your hands if the price is right.[)]

i agree w/ akfiremedic. i have three saitos( 82,100,125) the only deadsticks i`ve had w/ any of them was when i ran out of fuel because i was having too much fun. 2 strokes, on the other hand, is the reason i tried 4 strokes. they ran fine new but get a little time on them & dead stick city. i only need to have the needles close on a saito & they won`t go dead. i think there easier to tune also. set em & forget em.

Another vote for the Saito 100 on the MOJO 60. I fly the Mojo 60 Moass that weighs 6lb2oz and the 100 will hover at 1/4 throttle with a 16X4W APC. Very smooth and reliable...and like others have said, the only time I have dead sticked was from having too much fun and ran out of fuel.
Just my .02 worth.

If you are dead seat against the Saito engines, then use the OS 91FX. Both engines will fly the MOJO 60 just fine. I prefer the Saito's to the OS engines every time as I have 30+ Saito's that I can't kill and numerous FX or Surpass engiens that have peeled sleeves or bad bearings.

I just ordered the moass60. I'm trying to decide on an engine. I had a Saito 100 on a 7 lb airplane and it was lacking power. I want to run 15% fuel. Is the Saito 125 too much overkill. I have not bought any motor yet, but I would like to stay with Saito or OS

RE: O.S. 91FX or Saito's Fa 100 Mojo 60
My Mojo60 came out at 5.5lbs dry but ready to fly and with a Saito 100 on 10% fuel it has wicked performance and the pull-out is phenomenal.
I think you'd have to fill the wings with cement to get a Mojo 60 (even the mo-ass with removable wing kit) to get anywhere near 7lbs.
The 100 on 15% nitro will be "pitbull with a ragdoll" power for the MoAss but if you want more power, I'd say the Saito 115 might be a better choice than the 125 because (I think) it's lighter.

RE: O.S. 91FX or Saito's Fa 100 Mojo 60
I'm having a Mojo Moass being built now and bought a Saito 115 for it. I fly a Saito .82 all the time with no dead sticks until the other day when the fuel tank fell off my profile. These Saito's don't run very long without a fuel tank.

Per horizon hobby
Saito 100 20.9 oz.
115 23.4 oz.
125 24.7 oz.
not much of a weight difference, so do you think the 125 is too much?
Anyone know what the weight difference between the Mojo 60 and the Mojo 60 moass is?

My original Mojo 60 weighed about 5 1/2 lbs w/ a Saito 91. My MoAss 60 is right at 6lbs w/ Saito 100. The 100 is plenty on it. But if you like 2 strokes, the 91FX would work great. I had a Magnum 91 on my old OMP Yak that weighed 7lbs and it had lots of power.
Personally, I think the Mojo would still fly fins at 7lbs. It's a big kite anyway. My all-time favorite plane.
