JRozman strikes again.
I have been able to see Jess fly, But as Gator stated Jess has raised the bar very high. His mind and fingers are a machine. I will never forget when i took this photo of him flying.
This is Jess flying a GP big stick .40 size ARF. no mod's, He was T-rollling this thing inches off of the ground. I was completely amazed, then he starts doing harrier rolling circles with it. about 15-20ft. off the ground.
To say the least, Jess is a great pilot.
It takes a good pilot to T-roll a 40% down low. But I think it takes a great pilot to do it with a big stick ARF .40 inches above the ground.

Surgery
Gator, how much does the surgery cost, and is it covered by insurance? Do I have to travel to Memphis, or is there someone in my neck of the woods that can perform it? Tom

Torkin School Bus
It is kinda fun torkin' items that were not meant to be torked. I could not stop laughing after that because it looked like a school bus torkin. It was quite stable once in the tork regime. It did lack power and throw, but it had enough.
It weighed 15 1/2 lbs, made out of coroplast(yes it is a spad) and is powered by a homelite 45cc chainsaw coversion with magneto.
Chris Jumper (aka "The spad man of ROCK") built the plane and did the engine conversion. He is our resident "Mad scientist".
We do have a colorful bunch at our field.
Paul got the building chip, Gator got the covering chip.
And a few people who will remain nameless got the ***hole chip.
Thanks for the kind words Ulf, Gator and Paul usually give me slack about the fuel I burn.
Jess

I dont know...I starting to have 2nd thoughts....should I have the elective 3D chip surgery.....or should I have the nuematic penal implant?....Hmmmmmm.
Tom, probably the cheapest option is to get out there and fly with some of the "3D MONSTERS" in your neck of the woods and burn some 3D juice:thumbup:

3D
I have no monsters to play with. I'm on my own most of the time, unless I travel over an hour. I can just step out the front door and fly though. I have been burning more 3D juice lately. Tom

flying
Gator, yes I do get to fly with Jeff, but only every once in a while. Jeff lives 2.5 hrs. away, but his in-laws live in town here. When he comes to town we fly, but that is only 4-5 times a year. Tom

I just checked with Fortis and not only am I covered for the 3D brain chip, I can also get the lasik surgery for the eyes that will allow me to see planes clearly in overcast conditions. This is a walkin/walk out type of thing. I'm scheduled for next Tuesday.

Jess, and ChrisSpad you need to bring that plane to the Memphis Spad fest in May. I would be a blast to see that thing T-roll in person.
I love the sound of the motor while it torgue rolling.
