Model tech extra 300L.
I finally got my magic extra in the air yesterday, nice plane loads of fun, fast, nimble, had 6 flights, last landing landed nice but landed in tall grass instead of short grass that I had just cut. It ripped off the landing gear and it took some fuse with it which eventually caused the nose to hit and break off. I agree that this part is a little weak, but live and learn, mine is not going to look pretty anymore but you can barely tell while it is flying, so who cares. I figure some epoxy and a few strips of wood and some paint it will be good to go.
Oh I got the newer version than normally discussed, all holes and nuts drilled and installed. This plane was like putting together a trainer. Covering so far not to bad it has spots but barely notice, it is not all falling off or even loose like some say. it has creases and bubbles but few and far between. It can knife edge like nobody's business. Never did get a chance to hover it on its first day but the os 46 gave it definatly enough power. CG 4", throws as much as possible.
