Has anyone tried an OS 61 in a Flip 3D? I've got one lying around that I'd like to use.

What prop would you use?

Only because I was just doing, yet another motor change on Flip 3, I weighed the 50's and the 61.

A 61 FSR with muffler is 11 oz's heavier than a OS 50 and the Irvine 53 weighs is a touch lighter than the OS's.

I find the Flip needs a little tail weight to really get it flippy and thats with 50's and 53's. That additional 10+ ounces may be difficult to compensate for. I am not sure if you would not hit a point of diminishing returns going to the 61.

Give it a shot and keep us informed, it may work well. Prop? Try a APC 14-4.

Looks like the OS is about 6 oz heavier than the YS 63 that most people are using. I don't know if that's significant on this plane or not.
