Which .40 profile does the best harrier?
I am looking to get another .40 sized profile. I want one that will do a solid harrier with little to no wing rock. A friend has an EF Chinn yak and it harriers great, but I don't want the same plane he has. I am looking at the OMP 47" Edge but I want to hear some feedback before I buy anything. I don't want to buy a plane only to find it unstable in high alpha. Thanks for any input!

Swany's House Mojo. Very easy building kit, sometimes available in ARF, nothing more durable made of balsa.
You wont want to keep it in a harrier after you see what it can do.
Here is the MoJo 60 with the MoAss option that is now integrated into the kit. The 40 size kit flys the same with slightly faster reflexes needed.

The Primo - Also from Swanys House - also "locks in" in all high alpha flight. Just my opinion, but I think it's because of the slightly longer tail. It sort of "anchors" it down. Either the Mojo or Primo will be different than your friends plane and provide you with an awesome performer.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I prefer the looks of the OMP Edge over the mojo or primo. How does the version 3 OMP edge harrier?

That's ProBro Andy on the sticks in the video. He's sick, only been flying about 4-5 years. I'm not even close to his skills.

If you want an indication of how well the 47" Edge V3 flies check this out:

If you are a more advanced 3D pilot check out the new OMP ProYak as it offers a more aggressive flight performance. ARFs of the ProYak are due in a couple of weeks.

Both models offer a fiberglass tubed fuse and fully sheeted for ultimate strength. Wings are standard two piece for convenience but can be permananently glued on for those wanting a one-piece plane. And both models will harrier perfectly all day long right on the deck even in tight turns with no instability.

I have had them all-the best for upright harriers: Swany Burrito
Best for inverted harriers: ChinnYak/TopCap
You didn't specify how you fly-some people are afraid of inverted harriers because they suck at them! I personally love inverted harrier 8's with the rudder dragging the grass every now and then[>:]

RE: Which .40 profile does the best harrier?
Would you consider it to be much more difficult for someone that has been flying well for about 3 years now? I can do aerobatics and some 3D with full fused planes...

Any of the profiles can be flown like a trainer on low rates, especially the Edge with it's big fat airfoil. Landings are like a parachute the way it settles down at walking speed.
