Default 3D'n at Night What a sight!!!

When it gets dark we just keep flying. I use all one color on my OMP 65" Profile Yak SP-55M. Draws quiet a crowed at our field.

I just put LEDs on my Pluma! Its gettin' dark earlier n earlier these days. I am running  3 LEDs. 1 white on the right, 1 blue on the left  and 1 red at the tail.  Added all of 5 grams to the plane and it plugged in to the receiver. The darker the better now!

I can see where you are coming from.... and I was worried that it might not be real visible because those lights don't look real bright in the shop when you are working on them....but you oughtta see it in the middle of the night at about 300 feet.Absolutely awesome.[8D]

Wow.. that'd be hard to lose. Can't see your plane in the scrub surrounding your field? Just wait till dark and you'll see it miles away!

These lights are a product sold by a company called Xerogear.Really cool product. The lights come in 2 foot strips that have a 3M backing tape. You can cut these strips in 2 inch increments that will give you 3 lights on the segment. Then just wire to the previous strip and keep on going.Or you can just stick the whole 2 foot strip and wire it up and go.I am running mine with a 640 mah 3s lipo independently.I didn't want to worry about running down the reciever pack as it is fairly small for weight reasons. The lights themselves weigh next to nothing. You can see these lights at Xerogear.com .They have kits for foamy/small electrics and kits for larger planes which is what I purchased.

Miles away is right. My friend and fellow club member Charlie saw it from over a mile away Saturday night on his way home from work.He pulled into the field to say hey and told me he saw the plane from way off.He said he knew exactly who it was when he saw it.
