Is a 42 1/2 inch Extra profile enough for a
OS 55 AX?
A friend of mine scratch built me a nice profile of an Extra and it came out light enough at 450 grams for the ARF, hinged and no hardware. The wingspan is almost 43 inches and I have an OS 55 or an ASP 61 4 stroke needing a 3d home. Which engine works best? I anticipate an AUW of 1.8 kgs.
Thanks

USE THE 55!!!!!
That ASP 61 is a boat anchor....and the power is questionable, leave it on the shelf!!!
That 55 will make your new Extra a rocket ship, and make sure you use an APC 13x4 sport prop. A winning combination!!!

Thanks for the feedback bros, I'm going with the 55.
If I had a YS or a Saito of similar size it would be a no contest but a NIB ASP 61 is a different story.
