CAD 3-view of Q-40 engine?
Does anyone have a CAD 3-view of any of any of the popular Q-40 or 428 engines that they would be willing to send me? I am working on a layout for a new Q-40 and need a "check fit" drawing to insert into the layout. Nothing proprietary please, just something that I can check-fit with. Unfortunately, the major manufacturers of these engine lost their 3-view drawings in a hard drive crash. OR>>>> if someone has a paper print of any of these engines, I could scan-convert it. Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

RE: CAD 3-view of Q-40 engine?
I have a CAD drawing of a Nelson Q40 engine SS. It is a drawing I made myself by measuring the engine. It is fairly accurate. It is in Autocad 2004 format. I do not know how to show it on this Forum. I can email the file to you if you wish. I will need your email address.

RE: CAD 3-view of Q-40 engine?
Paolo,
I have taken Ed Smiths drawing from above and made it a 3D model if that would help you any. Here are a couple of pictures of what is in the file. The gear is typical Q500 gear & wheels, the Nelson has the 1.75" spinner as well as a Jett 1.5" spinner. The mount is the Jett Q40 round mount. It is drawn in ACAD 2009 DWG format, but I may be able to convert it to something else if needed.
