Great jobs, especially like the green and white checkerboards.
I do applaud those willing to take the time to paint a fantastic looking Q40. I just don't have the skill or patience to do that with a plane that may not see tommorrow.

That's a pretty plane for sure.. I'll make sure not to post my Dago when I finish it... It would look like dog crap next to that... Maybe if I take the picture from really far away
Nice work Presta...

Well the old Dago lives again... After a "minor" mid-air in Houston I've got it back in color again... I haven't weighed it yet to see how much it gained... It's no Super T machine but it will be fine for me..

I don't think of them as GB colors... Just colors you don't see too often... I shut off the game when the point difference was about 30... I'm actually not that big a GB fan.. Not compaired to most Wisconsinites anyway.

Heres another green one, hopefully not unlucky. Bruce and Dan did a great job on this one, the picture doesn't do the green metal flake justice. Should shine nicely in the sun with a coat of race glaze

They do break down to a pretty small box that's for sure... Here's mine. I don't know if our green is the same shade Dave but the metal flake in it looks great...

How are you planning to do the canopy.. Do most just tape it down or what? I can't remember how Jerry Small did his but it was really clean.. He had it screwed down somehow.. I wish I would have looked at it closer.

Lee,
When I made the master for the canopy, I had planned to use the extended fillets as an easy place to apply the tape. Most seem to be using the tape method.
Jerry small used small flat head sheet metal screws through the fillets on the canopy into the hard points into the wing. He backed the canopy up with epoxy to provide a good surface for the screw heads.
I am working on the instruction manual and hope to finish it this weekend.

I got the servos in last night... What a pain.. I ended up using a spare Seeker tray that I had... It will make it even more "fun" to put in the tank but I tested it and it will go...

Dave,
I've never had any issues getting stuff out of airplanes, it all seems to get thrown out when the plane hits the ground!

Well to my amazement I can put the tank in and get it out without too much trouble.. Got it all done and in race trim... Just need the CG I guess...Once that's set she's ready for a maiden.. I guess it will have to be sunny AZ next month.. I hate going out of town with an unflown plane but I guess that's the breaks when you live in the frozen tundra...
