Nelson SS-Q40, propellor range
Now that the Q40 Nelson LS is an engine of choice for Q40, I am having trouble finding info on props for the Q40 SS engine. I am using the engine to start out in Q40 and am wondering what the correct propellor would be.
thanks in advance for any help. Kevin M.

The SS Q-40 engines use the following:
1) APC 7.4 x 7.8C
2) APC 7.4 x 7.7C
3) APC 7.4 x 7.6C
The following site has them

RE: Nelson SS-Q40, propellor range
Hey Kevin
I have been using 7.4x8 and 7.4x7.8's I did buy a couple of 7.4x7.81's that I will run and see how they do. I ran one up on the ground to 23k.
Take that long stroke out of the bag and bolt it on, its running out of air in there. It's not like you have never flown fast. But then again if you run the short stroke in Regina at least I may stand a chance to win at least one heat if all of us short strokers line em up.

Al
I ordered some props from DC and Roy sold me a bunch as well, now I have more than I need, if you, Kevin or others need some I have a bunch. I was disappointed that in Regina they put most of the short stroke drivers in the same matrix column, we were point fodder for the long strokers. I may bolt the new Nelson Long Stroke on for the Calgary Race, still behind the curve for Edmonton race this week end. I was pleased with how the Sweet V ran all but the Landing Gear worked good.
See you in Edmonton this weekend, hopefully the long range forecast lets up a bit and it does not rain.
