Nelson Long stroke muffler on a short stroke Q40 motor
I have been running Nelson short stroke in Q40 and have heard that you can get increased performance out of a short stroke by running the long stroke muffler and prop the motor like a long stroke (7.4 x 7.5). I hear it provides slightly better power than the normal short stroke, but below what the long stroke puts out. Has anyone comments on this or tried it?

I'm with Dave on this one, I had better luck with the 7.8. I think Paul's SS is stronger that the one I run with a SS muffler.

Hi Al,
Ted Ellefson was running the LS muffler on the SS Nelson just today at the field. It seemed to be running well. He was running a 7.4 x 7.6 prop but we told him to go to the standard 7.4 x 7.8 SS prop.
I think it will perform better. It's worth a try. You should try it in Calgary at our races.
