This just in,

In spite of a forecast that calls for the possibility of hurricane Hannah to approach the Mid-Atlantic region, the PGRC Club intends to put on the NMPRA Q-40 Contest as scheduled. We remain optimistic that we can get in enough rounds of flying using both days to the maximum extent allowable by the rules. Rain or shine, the Saturday evening steak party will go on as planned, as we have a house in which to operate, and the food has already been ordered.

The speed and path of the storm are still a guess, however local forecasts call for one or the other days of the weekend to be clear.

Thanks to the PGRC for a great weekend of flying. Too bad about the weather on Sat.. These Hurricanes are a pain for this side of the country. We missed the Fla. boys and those from the coast farther North. A great time was had by all at the Saturday Nite Steak Party. The Club house is a great place for this kind of thing. Also for accomodations for many to stay for the weekend for free. Just need a blow up matress and sheets.Sunday the weather was perfect. No mud as they haven't had rain for 2+ months. The racing was very fast as you will see when the results are posted. These guys were ready to start promtly at 9:00 am and infact were done at 2:00. Thursday Friday and Sunday were perfect. I think this might be Gabriel's first win. I have not seen him so wound up. The Jett guys did pretty good. 3 of the top 5 were Jett powered and 6 of the top 10 as well. Mike Helsel flew to a 1.07 in his last heat for 11 laps cutting on the last lap, sorry Mike but great effort.
Pretty cool race all in all. Great company, facility,Party and flying. Yhanks PGRC
