The price of TT 40Pro is $79 at ThunderTiger4U. As some have mentioned before, they have good service. I bought from them last year and was pleased with the purchace.

The folks at www.thundertiger4u.com are great to work with, but all of their product was drop shipped from Ace Hobby. This was also true of infinitehobbies.com; when I ordered from them, my packages came directly from Ace Hobby. These resellers will need to become Hobbico resellers, shut down, or find someone else to resell besides Thunder Tiger.

Folks hunting for alternative sources of Thunder Tiger engines online are going to find that this was common. A lot of Thunder Tiger dealers simply ordered as needed and didn't carry a lot of inventory.

I always thought that thundertiger4u was owned by the TT/Ace conglomerate. They weren't?

I was very satisfied with their service.

Is there any other engine with similar performance available? I cannot imagine buying a replacement for TT Pro for $140 - that is just stupid.

At $79 the TT Pro 40 is a great value - at $140 it will kill 424. This is priced even higher than an O.S. 46!!!!

I want some of whatever those Tower folks are smoking cause they are outa their minds!!

I just ordered an ASP .36AII for $57.00 from the hobbypartz.com site. (Free Shipping) All of their ASP's seem pretty reasonable. Don't know if performance is on par with TT Pro.

I have been a Tower Hobbies customer since 1971 or so. Their customer service is topped or equalled by none. Unfortunately, that is all they have left that interests me, other than the occasional sale product. Half a decade ago, I was spending close to five thousand dollars a year at their store. Surely their computer wizards have tracked such trends and have noticed the decline in business from Baby Boomers such as myself. We Boomers tend to over inflate our importance in the market place, I suspect. What other, larger, bigger spending, market segments are there? Truck & car fans?

I'm not going to jump up and down and threaten to pull my business because of their weird behavior. No need. I've been drifting away from them anyway, for reasons that I have previously listed. It saddens me to see such changes. Of course, I realize that they are dancing as fast as they can in order to keep up with a rapidly changing market place and a disastrous financial paradigm. I hope they survive. I like the folks at Tower Hobbies.

Tower's price on the website as of this minute is down to $99 ...more than they were but a darn site better than $139.

I need to buy 2 more for next year, Darrol Cady has them on his website for $85, I'll check with him on Monday.

And I'm sure you all noticed that thundertiger4u has shut down. Yes they shut down before they filled my confirmed order for two TT40s and did not bill me. I'm sure ACE/Tower was not going to drop ship them for TT4U's price. That trick cost them my business for sure.

Yup did notice that, looks like either Graves or Tower is the ones to go with. I think graves still have a couple in stock.
