RE: 2011 project
Came out of the forms perfect, added the fuse formers and servo tray with thin CA.
Will let dry for about an hour then go in the hard plates with gorilla glue.

RE: 2011 project
Wow, been doing this for 10 years and never had the "monster" photos show up like that...
One thing you can see in the pics is where I enlarged the cutouts on the 1/64" light ply doubler. They are not perfectly lined up on this beta run with a new cutter. Dan will be getting that fixed.
So far so good. and I didn't have to worry about the balsa sides "flex cracking" at the bends like I had issues before using the forms.

Dave, does the veil go all the way to the nose?
Did you vacuum bag it down flat, or just press it down?
I'm trying a variation on Randy E's mylar method, hopefully it will work and give me pre-finished skins.

Yes, veil goes all the way to the nose. I just used clamps on the forms, seems plenty strong, about 6 clamps on each one.
Just got the fuse bottoms and nose pieces "veiled" up, I'll let them rest till morning.
Just for fun. Its light weight, and easy to do.
