RE: KCRC Spring 424 & 426 Race
S-10,
This page is great. I have it bookmarked. But I also have 5 other schedules bookmarked. The issue is that not everyone does the research to see if any other races are already scheduled for a particular day. Three great races are happening on the same day. Someone living in between the sites will have to choose which one to attend. It is not an issue if you live close to a district that is VERY active in pylon racing. I live in central NC and only have 1 race location within 6 hours of my house. The guys at Julian put on a great race and weekend. But they have 2 races a year. I have to travel at least 6 or more hours to race anywhere else. When races fall on the same week, I lose the opportunity to race. I have to make a choice where to go. I have and will travel 12 or more hours to go to a race.
It would be great if all races would be posted on 1 website. CD's could look and schedule their races on a free weekend or one that has a race at a site that is far away. I know you can not satisfy everyone!

RE: KCRC Spring 424 & 426 Race
Being involved with the MoKan series I can tell you there was a lot of effort to get the six races in the series planned.
There will almost always be conflicts with other races, and remember most of these dates are set six months or more before the now season starts.
I would love to make it to a race at Julian, but K/C is a Whole lot closer for me. Someday I will make it to one!!
The NMPRA site lists the races, But we have to send the info to them. If you have dates we all need to get them to the moderators as soon as we can!
Don't forget to tell them Thanks, It's a lot of work keeping all the info current!! Good Luck and No Cuts!!

Duane, sounds like you will have at least 2 WIPRO pilots to chase after. I hope all the Kansas guys are coming, that way there will be some competition. I always feel bad when the hosting club members get waxed. OH and make sure you bring that hammer, you will need to knock a few more RPM's into those TT 40's again....

Ok here is a couple of my new Snaker Q-500's. Two of them have Viper wings and the other has a composite wing from a Bird of Prey. The one that I have test flown came in at 3 lbs 12.7 oz. I have 1 more Snaker with Viper wing coming. So I should be good to go for awhile (I hope).

RE: KCRC Spring 424 & 426 Race
I'm going to be in KC visiting my aging father in the nursing home, so I'll pack up my Venom and go racing. I've never raced a 424 or a 3-pole course before, just Q-25 on a 2-pole course so this should be interesting. I'll try to stay out of everyone's way (Hopefully by being out in FRONT of them ) As a complete 424 / 3-pole novice, I'll probably be asking for someone to call for me. I grew up in KC and used to shop at Charlie Reed's hobby store. See ya' all at Lake Jacomo.
PS: I used to fly CL Combat with Mike Tallman from Wichita so I hope he attends, it would be nice to see him again after 40 years!

Wow..........Is it just me or is it pretty early for the Kansas guys to start making excuses? They don't usually do that until after the Missouri boys get done with them Get your stuff ready and come race. We promise to be nice!

I grew up on the Missouri side of KC, but I went to KU in Lawrence, KS, and now I live in Texas. Hmmmmm, I wonder who I should side with in the "smack talk" wars... MOKAN or WIPRO? I'm REALLLY looking forward to this. I flew my very first RC plane out at the KCRC field at Lake Jacomo when I was about 12 yrs old. NO, I didn't have a Vacuum Tube transmitter... (we used smoke signals) [:@]

Duane, just finished two new planes. Will be doing some testing tomorrow. I am bringing Justin with me (the guy that flew the Dodger at our last race). My hart rate is already picking up! You guys put on a great race with lots of pilots and everyone makes you feel welcome. Its like flying at my local club.

Gary,
Lets hope your Missouri flying has stayed with you, because if you are from Kansas where the wind gusts everday, those guys over there are all over the sky. And even when they come over here and the wind is light, they are still all over the sky, they just dont know any better. And as far as the WIPRO guys go, I am not sure what their problem is. I'll pm you my cell phone number-look forward to meeting you. Call me when you get to town.
Duane
