The tail surface was cut in half and the angle was applied with a sanding block.
I used another model's tail as a jig. Some plastic wrap was applied first and surfaces were tacked in place.
I checked the angle based upon the plans before making the final glue joint.

Two layers of 1.4 ounce fiberglass cloth were applied at the seam.
Some Skin It was squeegeed onto the surface. Set this out of the way to dry.

Some 1" square pieces of 1/4" thick aircraft plywood were cut out.
I used Shoe Goo to glue the plywood parts in place. Shoe Goo is very strong and vibration resistant.
A few clamps were used to hold parts in place until the glue dries.

I usaully put the center reinforcing pieces on first then the 3/4 ounce over the whole wing. This way the seams of the center pieces are hidden. any reason you do it the other way around??

The wing is temporarily attached with masking tape to allow drilling the wing bolts.
Confirm that the wing is on square by checking the measurements. Both sides should be equal distance.

Drill and tap the holes for nylon bolts.
Install all the bolts prior to countersinking the heads. A large drill bit was used in the reverse direction to perform this function.
Remove one bolt and then countersink the head. Reinstall the bolt and repeat.

The following pictures shows the finished installation.
The fiberglass fuselage fits well to the wing. It is also very strong as evident by the carbon fiber in the nose area.

The control horns are tacked in place with some CA. This holds parts in place until the epoxy mix dries.
Some micro-balloons and Skin It is mixed.
It should be the thickness of toothpaste.
Apply to one side and set on a flat surface to dry. Do the other the same way.

Align the model until the wing is set at zero incidence.
Place the tail surface in the V and check the incidence with a string level.
I then mixed some 5-minute epoxy and glued the tail surface in place. Continue to verify that it stays aligned until the epoxy dries.

A small amount of polyester filler (Bondo) was used to smooth out a couple areas.
Sand the fiberglass first to provide a surface for bonding.
Mix the filler, apply, and let dry.
After a few minutes it is ready to sand.

A 4 ounce and 6 ounce tank were test fit to determine where to install the radio.
A 424 model uses the 4 ounce tank and the 426 model uses a 6 ounce tank.

A couple rails were located on the fuselage side for support to the servo tray.
The tray was cut out of 1/8" thick aircraft plywood.
Drill holes for the servo screws prior to installing the tray.

The servo tray was glued in place with Shoe Goo. This stuff really holds the tray in place.
Some Velcro was applied to the receiver. Shoe Goo was applied to the back side of the Velcro prior to attaching it to the fuselage.
Set this out of the way and let dry.

Tape the motor mount in place and drill holes for the blind nuts.
I also drilled out the mount (1/4" diameter hole) for a 426 style engine kill.

Pushrods were made from the 1/8" carbon fiber rods.
A piece of aluminum tubing was glued on first.
Next some rubberized CA was applied to the rod.
The threaded end was threaded on by using an electric drill.
