Default What receiver batteries in Q-500

Hi!
I bought some LiFePo receiver batteries (6,6v, 850mAh) and intend to use them in some of my Q-500 planes. 6,6V is a little too much voltage so I'm using a 6A diod to reduce voltage (0,7v) to something about 5,8-6v.

Have anyone of you tried this metod reducing voltage using a dioad?

No. Many of us have been using the LiFe as is with no voltage reduction and every thing seems to work just fine. I am also not using the high voltage servos.

Hi!
But using 6,6v or higher voltage will reduce servo life drasticly! A simple diod takes down the voltage to more normal levels...Anyone?

Jaka, the plane will be long gone before the servos fail at that voltage
