Default FIRST TIME RACING

went to my first contest over the weekend at the LA BASIN, what a blast flew 424 on short course saturday, finished 8 out of 15, having never flown my 426 planes on a short course i chose not to fly 426 on saturday, still like my planes to much, would like to have flown 426 on long course on sunday, but the forcast was 20+ mph wind, im glad i chose not to, i belive the wind was over 20 mph, they called off the contest. this is very addective

I haven't flown RC in over 20 years. But when I did, I had a need for speed. I now have two Vipers ready to race. I can't wait to get back into the air. Still reading and learning about all the new changes. Dang I miss the REAL Formula one.

Frank: There isn't any 424/426 racing in our area (North Texas) BUT, we DO have a very active Q-25 and EF-1 series. Q-25 is just 424-legal airplanes with an OS 25FX or Magnum 25XLS on the front. We have our first race of the season THIS SUNDAY at the Richardson RC Club field. Visit the North Texas Pylon Racing Organization (NTx-PRO) at http://www.ntxpylonracing.org/ and come on out and join us this weekend.
