The Sonic 500 is back
I had seen a thread with a question about the Sonic, but did not realize that it is available again.
In checking out the Hobby People Super September sale, I came across the [link=http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/127515.asp]Sonic 500 25-40 Sport Plane ARF[/link].

RE: The Sonic 500 is back
I saw this recently, but unless significant modifications have been made to the orignial kit (arc), I don't see this plane as a competitive alternative to the predator. I haven't flown a Viper yet, so I can't comment on its ability to compete, but from what I have heard, its ahead of the evolution chain in comparison to the sonic.

RE: The Sonic 500 is back
I agree about the competitiveness Dave.
The Viper is fast. It has a fast airfoil that loses very little speed in the turns.
But for somebody looking for a non V-tailed starter plane, or someone with fond memories, it may be the ticket.
