Wing Template Material
Hi guys,
I recently somewhat inherited a Feather Cut system and was going to try and cut some cores. What is the best material to make the templates from? 25 years ago, I remember using a G10 type phenolic material. Is this still decent and if so, where is best place to get some. Thank you

Craig,
You can get some formica counter top material from Home Depot/Lowes. IF they don't have small quantities you can get some edging.
G10 is fine too. That can be purchased from McMaster Carr.

If you can find a cabinet shop, you can get a lifetime supply out of their dumpster. Edging, and vertical material is sometimes thinner then table top material. I have one set of Formica type templates that I've cut over 100 cores from.
