Default 3-pole racing returns to Texas

[h=2]3-pole racing returns to Texas[/h] By popular demand, 3-pole racing returns to Texas on August 20th at FW Thunderbird field. We will race Q-25/Club 40 (at the same time) and EF-1 on the AMA short course. See attached flier. In the event that we do not have enough judging manpower, we will default to a standard 2-pole race. Also, please note the rule deviation on the flier. A cut light will trump a turn light at pylon #1.

many thanks to the Thunderbird club.
In spite of bad weather we still had our race. I look at this one as our chance to find out IF it could be done there and how well it would be received. I think it was a success on both counts and everyone had a good time.
It was my 1st 3 pole event and a real eye opener. As it turns out, flying 3 pole is real easy. In some respects it's easier than flying 2 pole AND, you get the added rush of actually being inside the race course.
I can't wait to do it again with some faster airplanes...
