Default Asking a Favor

Of anybody who is going to be at the Basin race next weekend. My regular caller is not going to be able to make it and I would really like to make this race just on Saturday flying 428. Perhaps if someone flying 424 (that would make things less complicated) would like to call I would be very grateful. I am the fellow who flys out of the wheelchair and has to fly forward at the starting line and the main need is to operate the starter as I hold the airplane and then come around to hold the airplane and do the launch.

Thank you for your consideration

John

That shouldn't be any problem. There will be a bunch of guys there flying 424 that have experience calling 428.

***...i have no idea how that changed, i just changed my name and it changed everything i had set up i guess...i got the throttle set up on my new plane John, with a PLASTIC cleavis (to all the newbies out there like myself, always use a plastic cleavis on the throttle arm, that is y i planted my first racer out at the PHX race last weekend) so i will have 2 out there May 15th John.

Default Thanks to the Canyon Crossroads Gang

And in particular Denis (djlyon) who did a fine job calling for me yesterday at the basin races. This made it possible for me to make the trip to LA for Saturdays race. Had to return home and could not race Sunday and Hope you all do well today.

Think positive, No rain today!

Cole I don,t know but well down the long list of I think of 27 in 428. Not staying for Sunday there were some fly offs for the leaders so no official results on Sat.

The turnout was increditable with a similar number flying 422 and around 10 in 424. Anyway total entry was about 64.

We were greeted with rain drizzle in the morning with everybody scrambling for trash bags a such to cover their equipment but it moderated and things moved along. 424 and 428 completed four rounds but 422 did not complete the fourth round.

On friday my day was made when I got to test my new Ukie thats been waiting a while at the controlline circle and was able to pickup a nice load of fuel.

John, sounds like u had alot of fun, as soon as i get pretty good at flying 424 maybe i will roll on down there with u for some of those races...i finished my new quickee and i am just waiting on the battery, i got the servos instald on my new backup, with the pushrods instald in the rear (internaly), and am waiting on the motor and battery as well as the new C/F gear from Lew-Dog. I should have them both flying very soon and ready for the PHX race on May 15th.

Our pleasure John. No rain Sunday, pleasant with a light wind right down the runway. Turnout was about the same as Saturday with a 3 or 4 more in 424. I wound up in the middle of the pack, didn't have any problems with the plane like Saturday but my right thumb insisted on getting inside pylon 3.

Good Luck

Denis
