I do not know 393wr, but this paint scheme may reflect a kind of sickness in its creator or a hidden message

RE: Post pictures of your RACERS!

Well it's not a pylon racer, but since it has been quiet here, I thought I would show off the latest from the MacDaddy labs! This is the original Joe Bride Kaos and is my 9th since my first in 1971. It was scratch built from plans. The fuse/tail is my usual Valspar primer and clear with Jet Glo color. The pictures really don't show how nicely the paint job came out. Although I dislike plastic film greatly, the wing is Ultracote. No effort was made to keep the weight down, and balanced, the a.u.w. is 6lbs 2oz. I prefer the Kaos to weigh about 6 1/2 lbs so I might put on Kraft wheels which would would look cool and add about 3 1/2 oz. The motor is an OS .61SF with the L carb, muffler is from Dave Shadel at Performance Specialties and the tank is a Tettra 14oz bladder tank. I built this motor from a set of really nice parts and it is a monster - really too much for this airplane. I might put in a nice OS 60FSR which would be a better match for a plane this weight. The modifications to the airframe include wider ailerons, and deepening the fuse by about 1/2" to allow the fillets to fair into the underside of the wing perfectly, and to aid in k.e. This plane does an effortless slow roll from a speck on each horizon! I also moved the firewall back 1/4" and extended the fuse sides forward 3/8" to allow for the longer OS over the original K&B. The deeper fuse with digital servos and a really tight rudder linkage eliminate all tail wiggle as well.

I have not built a wooden airplane in a long time as I build mostly composite pylon racers, so it was really a lot of fun to take a step back. It is also great to have a Kaos to fly again as it is still the greatest R.C. airplane ever designed. Scott

A friend of mine has 3 of them. All scratch built and all different versions. He can't help him self he has to build one at least once a year it seems. I get to test fly and trim them. After doing that I wonder why do I fly anything else.

Large image of 393wr racer. Now we are realizing fuselage in fiberglass. Wings and other parts are in foam + obeche bonded with epoxy glue. This model is realized for a formula named Air On Man and consist of 3 subsequent tests in one: pylon racing + gliding after only 15" of engine + acrolimbo. Are u interested? Somebody want rules for contest?

That's a neat looking bird. Almost a cross between a pattern ship and a GR-7, which sounds like a good idea for that type of event. It sounds like a fun event too. Has it been held before or is this a totally new idea?

It's my original idea. All nitro birds can partecipate because all we can find the best performing machine + the best performing engine. The ideal is a very fast bird (pylon) that make aerobatic like an F3A with a very low stall velocity and a great efficience for best timing gliding after 15" of engine action. (can u understand my english?).
We are promote this event in all the world and we create chapter in every state.
Chapter 1 is Italy, Chapter 2 is Sweden, Someone want that Usa become Chapter 3? ;-)

The only thing I do not understand is the 15" of engine action. Here 15" is short hand for 15 inches. Are you meaning 15 seconds?
