RE: Post pictures of your RACERS!
My daughter holding one of the 2 new Seekers I built this winter for 424. Ultracote on the wings,
fuselage & tails covered with glass cloth then painted with Klass Kote white. The forward
part of fuse was then painted with Klass Kote clear mixed with signal green powder from CST.
Came out nice, a little tricky to get decent coverage but I'm happy with the results; the color match
to the Ultracote is very good and the neon green stands out from the sea of red or white Vipers [8D]
The one on the left is one of 2 I built last year (all Ultracote), our local series uses the mighty 40FP so
it's probably equivalent to Q-25 speeds.
Will race in our local series & NEPRO 424 as my schedule allows.
I would really like to make it to the Old Julian Airport (NC) event in October & race against
some of my old flying buddies. I'll bolt a 25FX on one (and remove some ballast) so I can race
in 424 and Q-25.

I've been busy also, although not for myself, for others. Built a Seeker fuse last week, and this Hurrikane 200 this past week.
Its been a long time since I've done a wood tail with ca hinges, probably be a long time before Ido another.

What I meant was that I will only do composite tails going forward, much easier to do, but I wanted to do a full stained, glassed, and clear fuse. Thought it matched the wing, didn't have any paint that was close.

Here's another addition to the Racer Picture thread.
I so much enjoy painting in the summer months and 80 degrees vs winter and barely getting the shop to 68 degress.
