Carbon Fiber Landing Gear
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to get a feel if there is a good market for carbon fiber landing gear for Q-500's. Aluminum gear are getting harder to find and you have to file them, and you always have to worry about them bending.
I am working on a Carbon Gear that only weighs 20 grams (40% less than aluminum) with 3 times the compression strength. These will be ready to use, and pretty darn good looking. There will be pictures up on the NEPRO web site of the gear in a couple of days.
If you are interested , email me at [email protected] By the way the first sets will be 1.5" front to back mounting width, but then I will be making 1.25" right after that. That will cover about 95% of the planes on the market today. The height will easily let you fly off of grass.
