RE: Pylon Simulator
I have the Great Planes G2 and it did help me over the rusty winter months. I don't use it much anymore, but if you get things set up properly with the plane it is a good tool.

RE: Pylon Simulator
I use to fly a quickie on Skis, lots of fun with the OS. I would be a little concerned with skis on a nelson
You do need to get the incidence just right.
The biggest problem would be in scheduling it and living with the weather that day, it would be fun though.

we had a race once where a guy lost his gear, the CD ok'ed a hand launch. He threw the model, hit the power switch upon release and the model had perfect trim where upon the model flew away at 120 mph for 4 minutes never to be seen again

RE: Pylon Simulator
Don Stegall made a nice course that can be used with the G2 , but not with G3. The planes in G2 in my opinion are more realistic for setting up for pylon racing too.

RE: Pylon Simulator
In G2 there is a 400mph bug in the program. As soon as you hit that speed, your plane stops and falls out of the sky. I was using some odd 3 bladed 24x10 prop on my racer to hold speeds right about 380 around the course.
I remember racing MikeyD above online once and I could lap him about ever 3 laps.
