K&B "Quickie" 6.5
A few of us have decided to get a bunch of those Sonic 500's for some club racing...
We don't have any "spec" engine, so it's run what ya brung in that respect...
I have a NIB K&B .40 "Quickie" FIRE engine w/ the pipe (looks sort of like a straight through Ultra Thrust ) and need some prop / fuel suggestions if you will please...
Do I have to run high nitro fuel? I want it to last for awhile, and I'm not looking to eek out the last little bit from it.
Thanks

Thanks, but are those props gonna be safe at the r.p.m. this engine's gonna turn 'em?
I was looking at the APC 40 pylon props, but I'm wondering which ones I should order?
I have a few in mind, but don't want to end up with a bunch of props I can't use, ya know?

Actually that engine won't be able to turn a 9x8. We used to use those engines on the west coast prior to the Nelson's coming out. We used full tuned pipes, and proped them for 19-20k on the ground with modified Rev-Up Pro Series (the wide-blade props, not the pylon props) 9x6.5's, sometimes 9x7's, on 15% fuel. Not sure how to prop it for the magic muffler that it sounds like you have, but I'd shoot for the same rpm's.
