Default Q500 with skis

Am I the first human in the earth flying Q500 with skis? At least I didnt find any previous records from that. It was fun. Skis remained full throttle flight with the plane (not even flutter) and didnt affect to the trim at all. Gotta go tomorrow again

I flew a racer II on skis about 2000. Just make sure the skis incidence is parralell to the thrustline and it will fly fine.

I flew a Spickler Q500, that I had retired from racing, that had floats. Went to a float-fly, was a really windy day. The plane went
behind a tree line (because of the heavy wind of course, no reflection on my flying skills), and we heard a splash. The
retrieval boat went after my plane, came back with it and a carp. They said I hit the fish - I think it was already starting to
smell when they picked it up. Got a trophy for the biggest fish caught.

I remember my old man use to fly his scat cat with a K&B .40 on it in the early eighties. He had skis and use to start the motor with Zippo lighter fluid and had aluminum shim material wrapped around the head to keep the heat in since it was so cold. That had to of been "83.

I took a Cub up to Colarodo a flew years ago and flwe it in the snow.I would take off on the road and then fly around for a while then land in the snow. I didn,t have skis I just used the wheels that came with the kit. It took a while to get it down just wright with out flipping it but I got the hang of it after a while.
