424 Rules Change Proposal
Dan,
I am glad you took on the 424 cause ... the conversations that you, I, and others had participated in, and the poll I posted on RCU showed that it seemed to be a worthy topic. You are to be commended for your efforts.
I am for the engine list.
I am not in favor of the composites rule. However, I have a vested interest in allowing all molded composites in 424, since PylonWorld.com will soon be selling an all molded composite Q-500. This is a domestically produced version of a Q-500 that is also going to be available from Kangke Industrial at an even lower price, and slightly lower quality. Kangke's version will use similar construction to the F3D/30 that they already produce, but with some of the squawks addressed (like glass on both sides of the wing skins instead of just the outside, and a epoxy fuselage that is taped or seamless). I expect the Kangke retail price to be under $200.
I have been working with new techniques for producing composite wings and tails and my new (currently proprietary) methods greatly reduce the production effort and cost.

424 Rules Change Proposal
That had been a very productive thread. I would like to know why it was censored. Was it because it had generated too much interest in 424? Maybe we need a NEW form just to champion 424.

Regis,
The reason it was removed is in the thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...16&forumid=111
I too wish that it had not been removed..

424 Rules Change Proposal
The deleted topic seemed to have two sub-topics being discussed:
1) 424 at the Nats (Yes/No) and how rules changes affect the probability.
2) Rules changes and how they affect attracting and keeping new pilots.
--------------------
Fermentation may have been a greater discovery than fire.
