RE: New Q500 Profi engine
Yes,
There is news.
Profi, in the hands of Tom Strom won Q500 428 in Washington state November 25th, AMA rules of course, then last Sunday December 2nd Profi won in South Africa against an all Nelson field using FAI no nitro fuel. Profi made fast time in both contests as well.
By the way, in South Africa with FAI fuel the prop used was APC 8.75x8.75NN.
Thanks guys!
Judith

RE: New Q500 Profi engine
Any new news on these Q500 engines?
We are looking at starting a class for Quickie Aircraft with the Q500 engines here in our local area in Aussie Land...
So before jumping out to purchase a Q500 engine I'd like to hear more about these Profi's... How are they performing these days against the Long strokes etc?
I'm running Profi MB in my F3D and LS Nelson in Formula 400 over here... So I'm familiar with the brands and performance of those...
Profi Q500 update anyone?

RE: New Q500 Profi engine
Mine is one of the first sold here and runs about the same as a Nelson SS, and as said is very smooth. In the year and a half sense I got mine I would expect they have made some power improvements. If you are running no nitro. I would ask an English forum or go here.

They will not mind if you ask in English.
