Circuit racing, 2008
How about flying a race circuit in 2008, such as Wichita, Copan, KC, Joplin, and another this summer?
I can get the Joplin field flyable for two pole 660' 10 lap pylon racing.
We could race 2-pole 1000', 7 laps in Witchita, and the three pole short course in KC.
It would be like the different races of NASCAR, with each track being different.
Joplin would be flying start, take off and land on short grass, cut flags at both pylons. I like the idea of adding 10 sec. to cuts.
We could race three classes, the Sonic Q-500 (424), the Formula 1 (421), and the Skyraider club racer. Rules like Witchita, but 10 laps at 660'. Unlike Witchita, we would not have to be flying over campers.
Just kidding Mike, it was a wonderful weekend. Just to say we have a big area out of town.
If interested indicate here. I will work on getting some local clubs to sign on, and we will set dates.
