Q-500 424 race January 12th Hodges Hobbies
The first race of the 2008 Hodges Hobbies Racing Series pylon race will be January 12th at Hodges Hobbies in Americus GA. Quickie 500 (424) 2 classes: “A” Expert class for the experienced racers and a “B” Sport class for the new racers. For this race we are asking for on-line registration so we can get the racing started a little earlier. http://www.hodgeshobbies.com/pylonracingform.htm
If any of the Club 40 guys are interested in racing you can run with the B-Class Quickies at this race. As Club 40 racing develops we will consider add a separate class for these airplanes at our races. If you have in the Club 40 class at Hodges please contact Mac at 866-924-9505.

The rules are for an AMA legal quickee and Thunder Tiger Pro .40. APC 9x6 prop.
As to the division between the A & B class, it is based on your best fast time.
If there are 20 entries, the top 10 are put in A class, the others in B class.
A class pilots work while B class pilots fly, and then swap out.

This is a reminder about the Quickie Race this Saturday, January 12. We will start at 10AM as usual. Be sure and go to www.hodgeshobbies.com and register if you are planning on racing. I think we will have enough to run the new Sport 40 class so if you have a Skyraider or LA Racer and plan on attending, please register and note that you will be entering the Sport 40 class. So far it looks as if we will have a nice turnout. If you are interested in this new Sport 40 class of racing and would like to check it out, come out Saturday and take a look. We could also use help in putting the race on, so if you are coming to watch and would like to help and take a gallon of fuel home, be here before 10AM Saturday and notify us that you are available.

We had a day of great racing. 23 entries in Quickee and 10 in Club 40.
First heat was about 10:30 and we finished as the sun was going below the horizon.
Flew 6 or 7 rounds of Club 40 and completed 7 rounds in Quickee.
