Default scat cat replacement?

Lost my Scat Cat today & am sorry to find Lone Star not available for kits. Looking for a fun flier that has performance similar to the scat cat with conventional t tail with rudder and low wing. Running a piped 36 webra and like to go fast and turn sharp with snaps (not too sharp I found out today..............) and spins. I also fly a Dominator t tail w/ piped 46 and it has no where near the performance of the scat cat so I'm a little leery of the high wing types. Maybe good for racing but not as much fun to fly. The diamond dust looks interesting but would rather stay with a more conventional design.

Any suggestions?

You might check out a Matney Model's "Pit Bull".

These are short kits: fuselage, cores, and landing gear.

Yep, saw that one. Looks interesting. I'm curious about the blunt looking firewall. Looks like maybe more of a club racer than a fast tracker. Hard to tell from the pic. I'm hoping to keep upwards of 120 with that 36.

You can still fit a square mount to the nose of the Pit Bull fine. This plane was made before the square mounts came out.

The blunt firewall is there by design and per AMA 424 and 428 class rules for Racing. With a nice TT pro 40 or an OS 46 with the right prop, you'll run 120 plus all day and thats without a pipe.

What does a "square mount" look like? Does it have the effect of smoothing out the nose? Is there room for a macs header & pipe with this type mount? Also, can the fuse be made with rudder and the rudder have authority to do snaps, knife edge, and ground steering?

thanks for the info

The following is a link to Performance Specialties:

You could install one of those type of mounts or just use a conventional mount.

Either way you could install a pipe if you wanted to.

Clean way to mount an engine. Don't see one for Webra36 however. Am now researching the Outlaw. Interesting looking design and perhaps the trade off for more maneuvering with less speed vs the diamond dust is a possibility.

Some bolt patterns are the same. Send the measurement to PS and ask them. Bolt across the back pattern and the ID of case and depth of back plate.

I believe the Scat Cat has a Blunt firewall also.

scat cat replacement? no such thing other than the hybrid of the gereration series from crustomcraftedrc. a scat cat base with many op wings that will not break, wings that have been
tested to over 200 mph with full acro. planes fly great with mtr's from 10-50 depending on wing type.

Sorry I was talking about the engine. Yes all square mounts have the same bolt pattern to the fire wall.
