Default Custom Backplates

after looking at those great looking custom backplate mounts that Lewis. S. has produced , i can not see any chance that these could be illegal to be used with the T.T. Pro 46 engine. as we know the Thunder Tiger Pro 46 does not have any piston relief cut out on the stock backplate compared to say the O.S. engine which does have this relief, the diameter of the stock plate would equal the same of the custom plate otherwise it would be a sloppy fit , the depth of the custom plate can not be any deeper [ as in packing ] cause if it was it would contact the crankshaft end. the other great thing about this custom design is extra mounting strength compared to the normal 4 small case bolts and thats it , this plate mount gives alot more security in fixing as it does become part of the engine. great machine work Lewis. S. and totally legal as far as i and many are concerned.
