The Snaker
I have been working on this for a long time, but finally got it ready to go.
The Snaker is an Updated Seeker Fuselage that utilizes the Viper wing. The kits include all the wood needed to complete the fuse and tail, you will need to supply your own viper wing or I believe Super T has access to foam cores or even Balsa sheeted cores. A couple mods have been instituted to my fuse that make it a stiffer in front of the tail, less sanding on the Servo hatch, and the tail is now assembled similar to the Hurrikane with several pieces of balsa utilizing different wood grains for strength.
We have 8 prototype fuse kits (available in two weeks) that I would like to offer at my cost $40/ea + shipping. These will be available first come first serve, orders need to be placed through Carole at Super T RC, they should be up on the website by this weekend.
I would really like to get feedback on this initial run, so we can incorporate mods that make sense into future runs.
Thanks as always for your support.

RE: The Snaker
I like it Dave. The reason I bought HurriKane fuselages is because of the tail assembly. This year was a disaster. As a result I have 4 composite HurriKane wings. 2 clean and 2 repaired but only 1 fuselage built. I have 2 HurriKane fus kits and 1 remaining Seeker kit. The Seeker kit will go with a wood wing so I need 1 more. I'll call Carole.

RE: The Snaker
I've got my Snaker about ready for glass Dave.. I used my composite tail on it but other than that it's built to "spec".. The kit went together very well.. If I would have known it was going to be 60 on Saturday I would have finished it up but when it was 30 and snowing last weekend I figured our flying season was done..
I'll post some pics when I get a chance..

RE: The Snaker
Made a trip back to the workshop over the weekend and picked up a couple Viper wings I had on hand and some building supplies. Won't be the most efficient build trying to find tools and supplies out of multiple cardboard and plastic took boxes, but we'll attempt this "ghetto style".
Got the Ailerons glued on with Five minute epoxy and CA hinges. I don't like the ones that come with the Viper kit, so used some Sonic Tronics hinges that have a nice slot down the center. I think this helps the CA wick further into the wing.
Once everything is in place, add a few pieces of Masking tape and wait for the glue to dry.

RE: The Snaker
Added a little color to the tips and installed a new Tower TS-35 Servo. (looks like a Hitec 225 clone to me).
Just needs a Big "Snaker" logo across the center and it will be all set. Forgot the control horns for the Aileron torque rods and my z-bender so I'm pretty much stuck till the fuses arrive.

ORIGINAL: daven
Its hard to come up with anything original anymore
Snaker came from Viper + Seeker = Snaker

Well, better than "Seeper" I guess..
I even found a Viper from many years back when I was looking at the C/L plans website I found. You're right, unless you wanted to get really unusual, original would be hard to come by.
We've had Vectors, how about the "Integral" or the "Differential Equation".. nah, I'd probably never get one quite right..

RE: The Snaker
Snaker is now up on the Super T website, there are still a couple left at the Intro price.
Kits have been cut (Sig Manufacturing) and should be shipping before Thanksgiving to those who have ordered.
Thank You!!

RE: The Snaker
Quick update, the kits arrived at SuperT about a week ago, however one sheet of wood was missing from the cut.
Those have now been cut and shipped, and kits should be going out later this week.
