RE: Parts for Rossi 40
a major problem is which rossi
rossi of the origional rossi died a couple of years ago if i remember correctly. his brother a few years prior started nova rossi (similar but different) and those parts are not compatable. the info you need on your rossi is the bore diamater, od of liner, height of the exhaust and intake openings, along with the lip height on the sleeve. with this info you might find a liner that is correct. remember that there were several different rossi 40's with different bore's, stroke's and timing.
if a liner is to be found expect to pay over 125$ even closer to 150$ for the set.
i had to do the same search for a 45 sleeve/piston set finally said screw it and purchased a new motor cheaper and parts are available.
while the new motor does not have the brute power as the rossi did i could not justify the cost of the sleeve and liner
good luck in your search
