Which crank is what?

Can anyone tell me with certainty which crank is what? Both are Nelson cranks for either Q500 or Q40 motors that I have had over the years. Thanks.

RE: Which crank is what?

I will be surprised if the "B" crank is not the QM40 crank because of the additional maching of the intake port.

Cranks are the same between Q500 and Q40 motors.

The latest cranks have a larger intake than the older cranks.

Personally, I'm not sure that makes them any faster, but working on testing them now...

I'm wondering now if A has been "machined" by a previous owner?

I sent these photos to Dave Shadel earlier in the day.  To paraphrase Dave's response:  "A is junk (a short lived bad idea) and B is fine.  Q500 and Q40 cranks are the same."

The "A" cranks look like the ones in my old ABCs
