On Board glow driver
Hi
Bought this plane from a flyer's widow. She had no idea what kind or make it was, nor any information on its workings. I've flown for years but never had a on-board glow driver before and don't have a clue as to how it works or the switches involved. I tried to lable what I have as best I can. Would appreciate and help I can get. Also.... maybe someone can identify the plane too. Thanks
Dick

RE: On Board glow driver
Its been a few years since i used an onboard glow driver, but it looks like the servo is working the micro switch, turning on/off the glow driver. There must be an onboard battery seperate from the reciever battery that fits into the picture somewhere. Most of the newer Glow drivers are turned on/off via the throttle stick. Im thinking this was maybe something home grown? Im sure others will chime in and have other ideas.....Gene

RE: On Board glow driver
Unless there is something going on that is not appearent in the pics.....I don't think you'd need the on board glow for a up right mounted engine.....make sure that you have the proper length, and heat glow plug and see if you can get a good idle......
You'll save the weight of the glow driver
