Noise Wheel Snow Ski
The cabin fever is getting to me. I've been snowed in for several weeks. I got a nice pair of water pontoons that I'm putting on my Sr. Telemaster main gear but has anybody ever "built" a ski for the noise wheel? I'd rather make one that order it or drive the long distance to the nearest hobby shop. Photos would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

These are made out of 1/16 ply. Cut them out , wet them down really good and clamp the end are round something round, I use some large bar stock off my press, once dried,do the center stips the same way. After dry epoxy the center spine strip to the ski. The metal banding is just heavy duty strapping use in shipping. The mounting block is aluminum bar stock, drilled and tapped. The axle is ground flat on the top side so to get a good bite on the set screw.
These work really well and do not have near the drag my planes set up with floats do.
