Default Aluminum landing gear

My airplanes all weigh less than ten pounds and landing gear is
becoming difficult to find. Tower does not seem to value quality
any longer and I have been unable to find an equal to Hallco
or BJ lately. I'll bet someone would get some advertising if
they could produce some good small and mid size gear.

look at the replacement parts of a comparative ARF. Very cheap and lots of choices out there.

When I build planes from plans I do this quite often. I look through magazines for ARFs that are close to the same size plane I am building and buy replacement parts for them. Most the time it works out great. Not all ARF gear are worth buying though but here on RCU you can go into the ARF forum and ask people that have the plane questions before you buy.

Hi Mylamo
Try this one: Dubro fiberglass landing gear at Tower Hobbies, their #LXNM65 for just under $15.00. My local LHS carries it, and I have purchased two there. I use it on my 8 lbs Corocub J3-Cub, and my 7.5 lbs Pusher Swept Wing Canard. I have recommended this gear so often that Dubro better put me on commission.

It's also my favorite one and it's almost indestructible (I have it on my Hobbistar 60 converted to a trail dragger). But I think it's quite big for a .40 size airplane.
