back when I first got into RC ( 25 yrs ago ) , we had 5oo mah rechargeable and I think we all stayed about 5V, But if memery serves I think it was 4.8V min.
I never thought about what the manual said. I will look at the book.
I have been running the big mah 8 cells so long and recharging before each days flying, don't know today. All the radios are new and may be different.
thanks

I have the DX6 and DX6i at this time. They both use 4 AA for power, and I believe the low level should be about 4.8V. I was using a JRx9303 2.4 with the big 8 cells mega mah and always charged before flying, so I never got low.
I am just trying to get squared away with this 4 cell think, I may go out and get some Mega AA's and be happy. I think there is a lipo version for these TX's and that may be the answer.
Some of the guys have went with Lipo's and left the TX on and drained the battery down to "0". My DX6 won't let me do that, she keep yelling at me to turn the darn thing off! Lol

That sound about right, close to the drop thourgh. We added .1 V and then went to about 5V to be safe. I think I will stay with 5.2V min.
Thanks for the info, I am starting the long on the TX battery drain. We are going indoors now, so I can fun a little closer.
