Carb Throttle Return Spring
Setting up my first Warbird Gasser, using a DLE55; I can figure the throttle and choke servo and linkage out easy enough; one question: do you remove the throttle return spring, or leave it on?

Actually you want to leave it but clip the little tang that engages the bell crank to return it to idel. The idea is that the sprimg remains to push out against the carb body to avoid vibration wear on the arm, but with no back pressure on the servo.

Another quick question; what are your thoughts on Throttle and Choke Servo selection; Standard Analog servos OK to use?

For the choke just any old standard. For throttle it depends on the plane type.I like at least duel ball beraing servos for smoothness, they doen't wear over time. For stunt planes I look for speed, throttle doesn't require a lot of torque. In my larger stunt planes I have used fast lower end digitals.
