Hey guys. I want to wire wrap and solder two pieces of 2-56 music wire together. What guage of steel wire is used to wrap around the music wire?

I like 1/8" ID brass tube flattened some so both rods will slip in . You can make your adjustments & then solder. Neet looking. Max H.

And if you pre-tin your music wire first, it will simplify the task considerably.
