connecting 3/16 plywood sheets end to end????????
i need to connect 2 sheets of 3/16 ply end to end any ideas? will a dovetail jig work? and connect with dovetails? thanks in advance

If you must have equivalent strength to a sheet without joints you will have to put a doubler or scab accross the joined area. If you have the room, a doubler on each side would be optimum but you can usually get by with it on just the unexposed side.

Why not just buy a piece that is 24" long, or whatever.....the balsa wood suppliers like Superior have larger sizes than the usual small 6 x 12 sheets.....?

If you own or have access to a router/router table, a lap joint would be the best way to join two sheets of plywood.
