Default Futaba 10c programming question

Can anyone help me out with some info on how to program the elevator/flaps on my 10C?
I'm trying to get the elevator to drop a few degrees when I activate my flaps but everything I've tried makes my flaps move with the elevator stick.

Thanks for any help

You must be mixing the Flaps as slave with Elevator as master

Try using the "Air Brake" function,
You can set the flaps and the elvator trim offsets to operate on/off on a single switch (default is "swC")

good luck

You need to have the flap channel as master and Ch2 as the slave. I think you have it the other way around

Thanks for the help guys, I'll give these a try and see if I can get everything working correctly.

Mike, did you make it to the Paynesville fun fly this past weekend?

No, it was way too hot for me! But there's a float fly this weekend and the following weekend is the Watts over Owatonna event which Geoff Barber and I will be covering for RCU Magazine.

I didn't realize you were right in Hutch. If you go to the Owatonna event, bring your 10C and I'll show you how to set that mix (or if you feel like driving up to Willmar I'll be staying home a lot until the heat breaks )

I just was playing with my 10cag to confirm how to work it, I just got this radio in Feb. And I remembered I see there is a "delay" % function in the air brake menu that slows the elevator trim offset so it slowly adjusts the trim change, (my 8u didn't have this), A very cool feature so it doesn't hit the Ele trim change all at once and balloon the plane.. If I were using it I'd also program the flap servos to move slower.

good luck

p.s.
I'm with you on the heat issue, we have a big bird fly in this weekend,, I hope it cools off a little or I doubt anyone will show up,,, at least the power is still on

Thanks again for the help guys, I got it to work perfect today with the airbrake function. Hopefully the weather will be good this weekend so I can test it out in the air.
