heli gas in airplane engine
i just got out my old airplane with a os la.46 engine and i only had some heli gas (cool power 30) so i put it in and it fired right up and ran strong. i only ran it on the ground for about one minute and then i shut it down. the engine felt really hot it would bun my finger if i left it on form more than i second. if i use the heli gas will the engine blow up or over heat and frezze up. what is the highest nitro airplane gas for this engine.

heli gas in airplane engine
Airplane engines will run of heli fuel. I use a 10% nitro fuel in my heli and in my glow planes. If your engine is getting really hot you are probably running it too lean. I'd richen up the mixture a a bit and fly the plane.

Yep, heli fuel (not gas) is fine for your plane engines. They're basically the same animal, the heli engines have different cooling fins.
The 30% will produce a lot more power, and that combined with running a bit lean is probably your overheating problem.
