RE: How about a thread about Pilots in the Cockpits of RC planes
GREAT stuff man!! The busts with the pilot's pictures are insanely cool! The video of the scale flight is awesome!
ORIGINAL: Oberst
For my scale planes I like a more realistic pilot bust. What I've been doing is I like to buy a stock bust that's hollow and put a micro servo in the bust and have the head move with the rudder. It gives it more life.
My wife is very talented, she can take a plain bust and make it look like the pilot who flew the plane.

RE: How about a thread about Pilots in the Cockpits of RC planes
Thank you! I get a lot of "Wow's" at the field from spectators, Line Officers and Spotters at shows. It's a real conversation maker and I always explain how to do it. The only real difficult thing about it is finding the right micro servo to fit without reshaping the body mold. But bigger the scale the better. If anyone wants to learn how to make the bust functional, I can explain it in detail one day. I'll maybe make a new Thread on it when I'm ready to make another one.

Hey, check this guy out 1/6 scale but he is going in a 1/5 scale and pretty much fills the cockpit. This guy is a work of art and can be found at WWW.gijoeelite.com, with shipping I paid $88.42 for him last April/2011. Leroy
Oh, it's going in a P-51
